Why do I need to monitor my Staff?

We have had a problem recently where staff members were turning up for work, checking in for their shift but then leaving site. This meant they were being paid for work they did not do and also left our clients with a bad impression of the Agency.

They gave a number of different excuses such as “I needed to make an urgent call as I had no signal in-store” to “I needed to get a coffee to keep me awake”.

We were also worried that Lone workers were “dozing off” on the job so needed a system that could check in on staff at specific intervals during their working hours.

We need staff need to stay alert and in situ throughout their shift to:

a. Fulfil their commitment to the agency
b. Ensure that security is maintained
c. They are only paid for the time they are on site
d. Present the professional image of the agency that you have worked so hard to build.

How can we change this?

By implementing the AXLR8 Staffing System it can help to reassure us that your staff are reliable and taking their employment seriously, presenting a “dependable” impression of your agency to your client.

The AXLR8 “CICO” (check in, check out) module can be customised for staff to be required to “check in” every 15 minutes (or whatever time period you deem necessary). The location settings transferred with the check in will identify whether or not they are in post.

You can define the area around the check in point that is acceptable. For example, a range of 100 metres from post might work in a football stadium whereas a smaller range would be more appropriate when demonstrating products in a retail outlet. Under no circumstances should the check in range extend to allow staff to check in from their homes! Yes, this has happened!

Alternatively, the AXLR8 staffing system can be set to require a photo be sent with an appropriate background that identifies that they are in post. The time of photo sent with the image will reassure us that they are not simply sending “one they took earlier”!

How do I monitor CICO?

Reports run in real time in your Control Room will identify any staff members that might need additional training, or a word of warning.

These modules will also help us to maintain your reputation as a “caring” employer. Additionally, we will meet compliance requirements for lone working, as any missed “check ins” will flag up possible issues on site and prompt an immediate response.
